I'm not really a big fan of stance/flush/hellasomething, but the more videos I watch, the less I hate it! I mean it's a little bit better than the F&F people with their plastic add-ons and stickers, right?

It's nothing functional, and I do like my modified cars to drive better than stock ones, which these obviously don't. Yet, I still see the appeal. I haz a confuzed!

What's your take on bags'n stance and all this stuff?

I don't have anything against it, it just isn't my kind of thing. And it can be easily swapped back to normal so that's a plus.

I don't mind air bags on cars. Seen some sick old trucks with them and when they are parked it looks sweet. As much as i admire the work it takes to make these hella-crap cars there is no point on having your wheels stick out like that. Tires rub, and not to mention the tire stretching they do. Those thing ride like crap and are useless when there is any kind of lip going into a parking lot. Not to mention they drive slower than the grannies out there

Good example of airbags:

Whoa hold on there Mr. Schmoll...don't you know this is the internet. You can't NOT like something then get more information and decide that maybe you like it sometimes or you understand it but it's just not your thing. I mean really...what kind of place do you think this is with all that rational and reasonable thought? ;)

Stance can look really nice, way better than 'F&F' style mods. It's generally not my thing either, but I can appreciate the look, and it does lend itself to some great photography.

Saying that, I have been daydreaming about doing a car with stance myself...

When done right it can look great...the problem is that most of it is comically awful. I'm also much more at peace with it when they take a car that handled shitty to begin with so you're not really losing anything. On that note, it KILLLLLSSSS me to see a E39 M5 with crappy stance because then, not only does it look horrible, it handles like crap too.

Example of taking a great car and making it worse.

Kinja'd!!!

And on the flip side, making a great car look different, but still drivable.

No, I'm sorry, this whole fucking fad is retarded and I can't wait for it to go away.

Its like, kids can't afford to make cars go faster, so they slam them to the ground on C4 vette rims and don't do over 50mph in a 65mph zone on the highway.

#lowandslow go fuck yourself

I think they look cool standing still, and ridiculous in motion, and therefore what's the point. I don't like nonfunctional mods. You can't drive it like that without severe body damage, at least not where I'm from, so why would you?

On the 2nd pic - looks nice but I really feel like if you drove that car and hit any kind of bump your fenders are done for, unless the suspension is so useless it would be barely drivable. Please correct me if that's not the case. Real world roads do not allow for that kind of clearance! Is it something you only do in pothole-free territory?

I'm still waiting for the SUV fad to go away so I can get some nice and cheap. Dammit.

Yeah, I've got a friend with a stanced S4. He's got the firmest suspension I've ever felt, almost like the wheels are bolted directly to the frame to keep from rubbing the fenders. It is HILARIOUS riding shotgun because of how serious he takes spotting imperfections, potholes etc. Since there is no give in the suspension, the rims have to dissipate any force/travel. Worrying about other drivers is stressful enough, I couldn't handle his level of road imperfection avoidance.

Yeah I had a friend with a GTI that way. I couldn't stand riding with him because he was always dodging cracks and potholes, of which we have plenty!

Don't mind cars really low but when you lower the car and change the camber so much it looks like a downs syndrome/retarded car that's just to much for me.

My G8 GT sits like the second BMW you have show and although rides a litter firmer its not bad at all with the progressive style springs. I personally love the second pic of the BMW. Sits great.

That video boils my blood. I just cannot get into "stanced." I've started my own hashtag #stancehater, please feel free to use it. I'm glad people take pride in their cars, but when the rubber is stretched over the rim like a victoria's secret thong on your mom and the tires are almost literally balancing on their inside edge I just can't stand it.

I am too biased toward practicality I think.
